Norfolk, VA (August 2013) – Fouad Georges Kaado Moawad, MD, has joined Sentara Urgent Care in Norfolk.
Dr. Kaado earned his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean in Coral Gables, FL, in 2006 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in nutrition, dietetics and food technology, at the American University of Beirut in 1999. He completed his family medicine residency, serving as chief resident during his last year, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, a part of Geisinger Health System, in Wilkes Barre, PA, in 2013.
Dr. Kaado is a skilled physician trained in family medicine, minor office procedures and minor dermatological surgery with an emphasis on urgent care. He provides care for patients who need immediate medical attention for matters that include sudden illness, sports injuries, occupational injuries and chronic disease care and management. Dr. Kaado delivers the most advanced methods of treatment and the latest in medical technology to meet his patients’ urgent health care issues.
Dr. Kaado’s fluency in English, Spanish, French and Arabic enables him to communicate directly with more patients, better understand their concerns and more effectively resolve their health issues. As part of his medical experience, he has enjoyed volunteering at several urgent care and health facilities, including serving as a co-director of a free clinic in Wilkes Barre, PA. Dr. Kaado is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
