Virginia Beach, VA (January 2013) – Leonard R. Cajulis, MD, has joined Sentara Palliative Care Specialists in Virginia Beach, VA.
Dr. Cajulis earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk in 2001. He completed graduate studies in immunology, human neuroanatomy, human neurophysiology, pathogenic microbiology and biochemical genetics at Old Dominion University in 1997 after earning his bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Virginia in 1995. Dr. Cajulis went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2004.
As a doctor who specializes in palliative medicine, Dr. Cajulis has the training and expertise to implement the type of care his patients need for the relief of pain or suffering caused by illness or physical conditions. Focused on providing optimum comfort and compassion while alleviating pain and discomfort, he also works in close collaboration with other physicians, nurses and health care professionals involved with his patient’s treatment. Dr. Cajulis’s goal is to ease the level of pain and discomfort and improve the quality of life for patients of all ages, in any stage of illness.
Before joining the palliative team at Sentara Palliative Care Specialists in Virginia Beach, Dr. Cajulis served as site director and physician to patients at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.
