Virginia Beach, VA (July 2013) – Nicole Donaldson, MD, has joined Sentara Family Medicine Physicians in Virginia Beach.
Dr. Donaldson earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, in 2010. While at medical school, she was awarded the Black Medical Association Student of the Year, the Excellence in Family Medicine and the National Medical Association Minority Medical Student Initiative Awards.
Dr. Donaldson received a master’s degree in science with a focus on anatomy at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, in 2006 and she completed her bachelor’s degree with a major in biology and minors in psychology and chemistry at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA, in 2002. While at Virginia Tech, she was on the Dean's List and inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.
Dr. Donaldson works collaboratively with the team of medical professionals at Sentara Family Medicine Physicians to provide complete medical care to her patients using the most advanced medical techniques and treatments available. With a genuine interest in delivering care to patients of all ages, she encourages individuals to partner with her in their own health and well-being.
Dr. Donaldson is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine and the National Medical Association. She has been part of various research projects, such as exploring the causes of stroke in pediatric sickle cell patients.
