
Norfolk, VA (February 2013) – Rajden Kutelia, MD, has joined Sentara Hospital Medicine Physicians in Norfolk, VA.
Dr. Kutelia earned his medical degree in 1997 from Aieti Medical School in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, where he stayed to teach anatomy and neuroanatomy for two years after graduating. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Huron Hospital Cleveland Clinic Health System (CCHS) in Cleveland, OH. While serving his residency, he was the recipient of several awards, including Best Third-Year Resident, Huron Five Award and Outstanding Excellence Award.
As a hospitalist, Dr. Kutelia focuses on the care of patients in the hospital. Trained in internal medicine and experienced in delivering care in hospital settings, he works with all other specialists involved with the patient to ensure continuity of quality care. He may also collaborate with primary care physicians to ensure quality care upon the patient's discharge from the hospital and beyond.
Dr. Kutelia is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. His fluency in Georgian, Russian and English is an advantage for those patients who live in our diverse community and require a physician who can communicate with them easily in their native language.
