Williamsburg, VA (March 2013) – Sandra K. Voll, MS, FNP, WHNP, CNM, has joined Sentara Family Medicine Physicians in Williamsburg, VA.
Ms. Voll received her Master of Science in Nursing degree, specializing in women’s health, at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, in 1994 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, in 1976. In 1997, she earned her family nurse practitioner certification at Virginia Commonwealth University, and in 2001, she received certification at Georgetown University as a nurse midwife.
As a nurse practitioner, Ms. Voll provides quality care to patients of all ages. She is trained to conduct physical examinations, order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate and manage chronic illnesses and conditions, and prescribe medications.
Ms. Voll’s professional nursing career includes over 30 years of experience in providing comprehensive care in the fields of family, emergency and women's medicine, as well as teaching Master's level nursing classes. She places a great deal of emphasis on respect and compassion when interacting with patients, and strives to establish a high level of trust and understanding through health education and counseling.
Ms. Voll is certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has served as an assistant professor of nursing and Director of the Clinical Learning Center at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing.
