Williamsburg, VA (March 2013) – Windle A. Day, PA-C, has joined Sentara Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Specialists in Williamsburg, VA.
Mr. Day earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at the University of Nebraska in Omaha, NE, in 2004 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Nebraska in 2003. Further, he is a captain in the Virginia Army National Guard.
As a physician assistant, Mr. Day is skilled in a wide range of medical practice services and settings including trauma surgery, cardiology, pulmonology, emergency and critical care medicine. His experience includes examining patients, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and X-rays, as well as diagnosing and treating medical conditions. As part of the team of professionals at Sentara Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Specialists, Mr. Day performs daily rounds in the general, cardiac and vascular ICUs, as well as the burn/trauma unit. Additionally, he performs central line, arterial line and pulmonary artery catheter placements, and manages ventilators. He works in close collaboration with the physicians to provide quality care.
Mr. Day is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Society of Army Physician Assistants, the Society of Army Flight Surgeons, the Army Aviation Association of America and the National Guard Officers Association.
