Hampton, VA (July 2014) – Manoj Nepal, MD,FACP, has joined Sentara Hospital Medicine Physicians at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA.
Dr. Nepal earned a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery degree in Pakistan where he trained on a medical exchange program. He then did his residency in internal medicine at Tribhuvan University and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in Internal Medicine from the Institute of Medicine, in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Dr. Nepal’s residency in internal medicine was completed at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Pennsylvania before starting his hospitalist career. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of American College of Physicians.
With clinical, research and training opportunities, Dr. Nepal has gained experience in emergency services, trauma assessment, and the care of heart failure, epilepsy, and diabetes patients. These skills have also prepared him to ensure quality care is delivered to patients during their hospital stay and to support the transition home or to another venue of care.
In his free time he travels back to Nepal to volunteer in health camps as a physician, plays on college football and volleyball teams, and enjoys reading. Dr. Nepal is fluent in Nepali.
