Virginia Beach, VA (July 2014) – Michelle B. Kuczma, DO, has joined Sentara Neurology Specialists in Virginia Beach, VA.
Dr. Kuczma specializes in providing quality care for patients suffering with multiple sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that can appear with symptoms such as muscle weakness, vision, loss of balance, poor coordination, slurred speech, tremors, numbness, extreme fatigue, problems with memory and concentration, paralysis, and blindness.
Dr. Kuczma earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship (in 2009) and her neurology residency (in 2012) at the UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. Dr. Kuczma went on to complete a fellowship in multiple sclerosis through the National MS Society Center of Excellence at UPMC / Northshore Neurology in Erie, PA, in 2014.
As part of the Sentara Neurology Specialists team, Dr. Kuczma’s focus is on diagnosing and treating disorders of the brain, spinal cord and nervous system, in addition to her sub-specialty focus on the diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis.
Dr. Kuczma is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Osteopathic Association, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
