Communication is essential to good health care, and Sentara encourages patients to make their specific needs concerning language or hearing known. Ask your care provider to arrange for interpretation services. Telephone interpreting service is available for foreign languages and ASL interpretation is available for the deaf or hearing impaired. These services are at no cost for patients and available 24 hours a day.
