When an Internet browser is opened, the user must accept the following agreement before proceeding to the desired web page:
“This network is provided for use by visitors and staff at Sentara facilities only. Sentara does not guarantee this service is operational and is not responsible for content viewed while connected. By continuing, you agree to abide by the Sentara Wireless Network Access Acceptable Use Policy. This is not a secure network! You are connecting at your own risk. We advise that you only connect to known secured websites.”
Users can access almost all of their favorite web pages; however, some sites are blocked by the firewall, such as: sites that pose a security risk to the system or use extreme bandwidth. We allow specific social networking sites but not all due to the nature of the site content.
