Red Knights Motorcycle Club Rally to Help Others
The Red Knights Motorcycle Club, Virginia Chapter IV, consisting mostly of firefighters, is a group of compassionate motorcycle riders.
Since the first “Where’s the Fire?” ride in 2003, they have been actively raising money for the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Trauma Center.
This year, the fourth annual ride was held in August, and Sentara trauma nurses collected door prizes, helped register the riders, and some even participated in the ride from Virginia Beach to Chesapeake.
“The funds donated are used to buy pressure garments for burn patients,” said Valeria Mitchell, RN, Trauma Program Manager. “All of the funds will be used for burn care, educational material, and equipment to assist some of the younger patients.”
Members of the Red Knights also volunteered their time to support the Trauma Center with other fundraisers throughout the year. “They’re so generous,” says Valeria. “These are people who really go all out to help others.”

Gifts of Stocks and securities benefit the donor as well as Sentara programs and services since the donor may avoid paying capital gains tax.
You can give by way of transferring stocks and other assets or investments you currently own, including real estate.
