Breast Center
The Breast Center at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH) features an all-female staff and four female radiologists fellowship-trained in mammography. The mammography staff are all ARRT in mammography and the ultrasound staff are all RDMS and specialized in breast, and the mammography department is ACR and FDA accredited.
Comprehensive services, including mammography, stereotactic, and ultrasound are available in the Breast Center. Breast MRI procedures, scintimammography procedures, and bone density exams are available in the SNGH radiology department. The Breast Center participates in the Every Woman’s Life Program (for indigent patients) as well as an Eastern Virginia Medical School/ACC Breast Clinic.
Breast Imaging Procedures include:
· Screening and Diagnostic Mammography
· Dedicated Breast Ultrasound
· Computer Aided Detection (CAD) for 2nd Read Mammograms
· Breast MRI
Interventional Procedures include:
· Stereotactic needle core breast biopsy
· Ultrasound-guided core breast biopsy
· Needle localization for surgical procedures
· Fine-needle aspiration ultrasound guided

Monday – Friday
7:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m.
Two Saturdays per Month
8: 00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
