Sentara Obici Hospital
Patient and Visitor Information
Sentara Obici Hospital is patient-centered. We believe that a healing environment and caring staff are an essential part of our role as your healthcare partner. From the building's design to our staff's concern for your comfort, our goal is to help you feel comforted, nurtured and cared for at all times.
Our consideration is apparent in even the smallest of details. For example, we believe that wholesome, nourishing and well-balanced meals are an important part of your treatment and recovery. And patients want a meal when they are hungry, not on a hospital's schedule. That's why we offer room service with on-demand meals delivered after you order from the menu available in your room. Some of the patient-centered design goals are:
Convenience - Patient services areas, departments, entrances and exits are all placed in a configuration that puts the needs of patients first.
Flow - The design maximizes the hospital's space to create easy access between areas for patients, physicians and employees.
Healing Environment - Plants, sunlight, wall and floor colors, the waiting areas, and other areas such as the Chapel, have been designed to sooth and comfort patients and visitors.
That attention to detail is just one of the many ways we focus on providing total care. Get more information about being an Sentara Obici patient by looking through our Patient's Guide.
