The Behavioral Medicine Center at Sentara Obici Hospital offers confidential treatment programs for adults in a caring environment. The center provides short-term evaluation and treatment for individuals 18 years and older experiencing mental health problems and needing acute psychiatric care. Seven-day, 24-hour programming is tailored to the needs of each patient. Care is delivered by a psychiatrist-directed team of registered nurses, social workers, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, and other health care professionals. Trained dietitians provide nutritional information and plan special diet needs.
