Family Maternity Center
The Family Maternity Center at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is committed to providing care to newborns, mothers and families through a multidisciplinary team approach. Full LDRP suites include a private bath, allowing mother and baby to remain in the mother's private room from the onset of labor until time to go home, with everything they need for a safe and comfortable delivery.
The hospital is equipped with a dedicated operating room for C-section deliveries, a newborn nursery, and a special care nursery. We provide comprehensive education including:
• Lamaze classes
• Prospective patient and sibling tours
• Growth and development, infant care, breastfeeding support groups
• New dad classes for expectant fathers
• Certified lactation consultants to help with breastfeeding questions or concerns.

Visitors are welcome during labor and after the birth. However, for the best care and safety of our new mothers and babies, please follow our maternity visitor guidelines. Visiting hours after the birth of a baby are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors under the age of 12 are only permitted if they are a sibling of the new baby.
