Our Staff

 Our team consists of fellowship-trained mammographers and a multidisciplinary team of subspecialized physicians. We invite patients to learn more about individual team members.

Our Radiologists

Dr. Kelley Z. Allison, Director of Breast Imaging
After finishing her baccalaureate studies in biochemistry at the University of Virginia in 1993, Dr. Allison received a master's degree in Anatomy from the Medical College of Virginia in 1994. She obtained her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1998.

Dr. Allison completed both her medical internship and radiology residency at the Medical College of Virginia campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003. At that time, under the guidance of Dr. Ellen Paredes, Dr. Allison procured a fellowship in breast imaging over the next year.

Dr. Allison is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist who devotes 100% of her clinical time to breast imaging services, including mammography, breast ultrasound and MRI. 
 
Dr. Michael Smith, Mammographer
After finishing has baccalaureate studies in History at University of Virginia in 1993, Dr. Smith obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 2000.

Dr. Smith completed his medical internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He then performed his Radiology residency training at the Medical College of Virginia 2001-2005. Over the following year, Dr. Smith procured a fellowship in Breast Imaging at the Paredes Institute for Women’s Imaging.

Dr. Smith is a board certified diagnostic radiologist who devotes 60% of his clinical time to breast imaging services including mammography, breast ultrasound and MRI. The other 40% of his practice involves general diagnostic radiology.

Dr. Kevin Woisard, Mammographer
Dr. Woisard finished his baccalaureate studies in biology at Virginia Tech in 1978 and then received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1983.

Dr. Woisard completed both his medical internship and radiology residency in 1988 while serving in the United States Army at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu Hawaii. He was chief of Mammography and Ultrasound while stationed at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas until 1992.

Dr. Woisard is a board certified diagnostic radiologist who spends all of his clinical time in breast imaging services including mammography, breast ultrasound. breast specific gamma imaging and MRI.

Martha H. Wells RN,BSN
Certified Breast Health Specialist
Education: Medical College of Virginia
The Breast Health Specialist is trained in all types of breast conditions and will provide clinical nursing care as well as education and counseling. Our nurse serves as a case coordinator, patient advocate and will serve as your liaison with the patient’s health care provider.

Belinda C. Risher RN, MS, CS, AOCN
Breast Health Navigator
Belinda has been a Registered Nurse since 1989 and received her Master’s degree in Oncology Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1995. Her experience includes Stem Cell Transplant, Oncology ICU, Chemotherapy Administration and Community Outreach. She is a native of the Peninsula and currently lives in Newport News with her husband. Belinda is passionate about educating women on breast cancer prevention and early detection.

As the Breast Health Navigator, Belinda works as an advocate for patients from the diagnosis of breast cancer through treatment and beyond. She guides patients through the various services, specialties, and resources involved in breast cancer care, including: 

Providing educational materials and emotional support at the time of diagnosis 
 Helping patients prepare for Physician visits and medical procedures 
 Reviewing treatment options (surgery, reconstruction, chemotherapy & radiation therapy) 
 Assisting with financial resources, programs and grants to aid with treatment associated costs
 Referrals to community support programs, educational opportunities and self help groups
 Providing information about breast self exam, mammography, genetic counseling and more


Erika Smith RTR (M)

Erika became a registered Radiological Technologist in 1992 after graduating from Southern Maine Technical College in Portland, Maine. She become a registered mammo technologist in 1993. Erika received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland majoring in management studies and a minor in psychology.

Pam Dougoud RTR (M)

Pam is a mammography Technologist. Pam became a registered Radiologic Technologist in 1984 after graduating from Medical College of Virginia. She has been performing mammograms for 22 years. Pam has had the privilege of working for Sentara for many years. She has had the opportunity to move to another state to help my husband in his career field. They returned once he completed school and was able to return to Sentara. Pam has switched career fields but always comes back to mammography at Sentara.

Sandra Conrad RTR (M)
Radiologic Technologist
Sandy is a Mammography Technologist. Sandy became a registered Radiological Technologist in 1982 after graduating from Central Ohio Technical College in Newark, Ohio. Sandy has been a mammo tech for 23 years. She recently retired from Ohio State University medical center in Columbus, Ohio.
 

Rhonda R. Johnson RTR (M), Interventional Tech
Radiologic Technologist
Rhonda is a Mammography Technologist with specialized training in stereotactic breast biopsy and breast ultrasound. Rhonda became a registered Radiological Technologist in 1983 after graduating from Maryview Hospital. Rhonda has been a mammo tech for 16 years. Sentara has provided Rhonda the opportunity to grow professionally. Rhonda is now cross-trained in all modalities of breast imaging. 

Cheryl Stolz RTR (M), Interventional Tech
Radiologic Technologist
Cheri is a Mammography Technologist with specialized training in stereotactic breast biopsy. Cheri became a registered Radiological Technologist in 1997 after graduating from Advanced x-ray school in the US Navy. Cheri spent 20 yrs in the US Navy and retired in 2000. Cheri has been a mammo tech since 2003. 

  
Melanie Sibole RTR (M), Interventional Tech 
Radiologic Technologist
Melanie is a Mammography Interventional Technologist with specialized training in stereotactic breast biopsy. Melanie became a registered Radiological Technologist in 1983 after graduating from Tidewater Community College. Melanie has been a mammo tech for 17 years. Melanie is from New York. 

 
Donna Wood RTR (M)
Radiological Technologist
Donna is a Mammography Technologist. Donna became a registered Radiological Technologist in 1978 after graduating  from Hampton General Hospital Radiological Technologist program. She has been involved in mammography for 28 years. She is from Newport News, VA.
 
Hazel Woodland RTR (M), Interventional Tech 
Radiologic Technologist
Hazel is a Mammography Technologist with specialized training in stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and breast MRI. Hazel became registered Radiological Technologist in 1977 after graduating from Mt. Sinai Hospital School of Radiological Technology. Hazel has been a mammo technologist for 21 years. Hazel is currently doing interventional mammography, breast ultrasound and training to do Breast MRI. Hazel goes above and beyond because she truly loves what she does.
