Extraordinary strides in technology make many complex surgeries possible in outpatient surgery centers without the need for a hospital setting. The new Princess Anne Ambulatory Surgery Center combines a tranquil environment with the full capabilities of outpatient surgery, including many minimally invasive procedures, which are performed with less pain, healing time, and fewer complications than are often possible with traditional surgeries. For the appropriate patient, the outpatient surgical setting offers many advantages including lower surgical costs, as well as a convenient location and comfortable surgical environment.
Services
Board certified specialists will perform orthopedic, gynecologic, podiatry, ear-nose-throat, general and other surgeries in this convenient, outpatient setting.
Princess Anne Ambulatory Surgery Center is a joint venture with surgeons and Sentara, as a limited liability company governed by a seven member board of directors and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an outpatient surgical hospital. Princess Anne Ambulatory Surgery Center operates managerially and financially independent from Sentara and works in collaboration with the overall Sentara surgery program as an integral part of the continuum of care.
