Classrooms-Main Campus Location
All classes are held at the Sentara School of Health Professions, Crossways I facility in Chesapeake, VA. 

Classrooms for the Distance Learning Registered Nursing Program are held at the Peninsula Higher Education Center in Hampton. 

Ample parking is available at both facilities.

Clinical Facilities
The majority of clinical experiences are provided in various facilities within Sentara Healthcare. Students may have clinical rotations in selected departments/units within the acute care hospitals such as emergency room, cardiac cath lab and cardiac diagnostic unit, operating room, outpatient surgical areas, labor and delivery unit, medical surgical units and various critical care areas. In addition, rotations may be held in nursing centers, urgent care centers, clinics, physician offices and home health agencies. Various other community agencies may be used for other experiences including the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters for many of the pediatric experiences.

Skills Laboratory
The Sentara School of Health Professions has several interactive skills lab with simulated patient rooms. These labs provide students with opportunities to practice many skills prior to working with actual clients in the various facilities.

Learning Resource Center (LRC)
The LRC houses computers, interactive software programs, TV/VCRs, and reference texts for student use. Students have their own login IDs and are able to access:
1. Education software programs to support courses offered
2. Software programs to assist them such as Microsoft Word & Powerpoint
3. The Internet/Intranet for research

Library
The Health Science Library is located on the second floor of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and is available for student use. The library has 12 databases for literature searches, photocopiers and TV/VCRs. There are approximately 4,000 books and over 260 subscriptions covering clinical and non-clinical specialty areas and more than 500 video tapes. Students may access Library services via Sentara's Intranet. 

Campus Security Report - The U.S. Department of Education requires that institutions of postsecondary education that participate in the Federal student financial assistance programs provide, as required by Section 485 (a) and (f) of the Higher Education Act, the Secretary with campus crime statistics. This report covers crimes reported in or around the School.
