Sentara BelleHarbour Breaks Ground in Suffolk
A community groundbreaking was held March 21, 2007 at Sentara BelleHarbour, a comprehensive 20-acre outpatient medical complex planned for north Suffolk, less than a mile from the interchange of Rt. 17 and I-664. Initial plans for the medical campus include the opening of a 75,000 square foot facility featuring: a free-standing, 24-hour Emergency Department, advanced imaging, laboratory, physical therapy, a sports medicine center and primary and specialty physician offices. The Sentara BelleHarbour campus will provide residents of Suffolk, Portsmouth and Chesapeake, as well as Isle of Wight County, easy access to emergency care and other vital health care services. Opening of the first phase is scheduled for spring 2008. Take a virtual video “tour” of Sentara BelleHarbour and the groundbreaking ceremony.
