Students Connect with Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center
To better prepare nursing graduates for work in a real hospital, Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center has partnered with Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) to create a nursing simulation lab at the hospital. A $237,000 grant from the Williamsburg Community Health Foundation will enable hiring of a new nursing instructor to teach part-time at TNCC and provide on-site training in a well-equipped simulation lab. This is an exciting program designed to connect Sentara with a nursing education resource and to improve the skills of nurses in training.
