Members of the Team: Auxiliary Updates
 Sentara CarePlex Hospital Auxiliary will hold many fundraisers in October and November including a bath and beauty show on October 3 and 4, a handbag sale on October 11, and a book sale on October 17 and 18. November events include Arts n’ Barks sale of pet items on November 1 and a jewelry sale on November 27 and 28. All fundraisers will be in the hospital atrium near Women’s Imaging.
Sentara Leigh Hospital/Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Auxiliary will hold a jewelry sale on Monday, November 26 from 7 am to 4 pm in the Sentara Leigh Hospital classrooms. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and the Sentara Heart Hospital® need volunteers in the gift shops. For information, contact Robin Valure at 757-388-3461.
Sentara Bayside Hospital Auxiliary/Sentara Princess Anne Auxiliary participated in the Sentara Princess Anne anniversary celebration on September 15. The Auxiliary provided information about volunteering. The Tree of Lights program to support Sentara’s Hospice program began October 1. Snowflakes to represent donations made in honor of a loved one will be placed on a tree in the Sentara Bayside Hospital cafeteria during the holidays. The Auxiliary is planning a handbag sale on October 12, a jewelry sale on November 29 and a grand illumination ceremony on December 6 at Sentara Bayside Hospital.

| Sentara Obici Hospital auxiliary member Jeanne Banks (center) and the hospital chorus on July 4 | Sentara Obici Hospital Auxiliary will offer 25 percent off one item purchased in the Gift Shop on November 7, from 7 am to 5 pm, in honor of the shop’s anniversary. Auxiliary member and full-time hospital volunteer Jeanne Banks recently celebrated 55 years of marriage. Banks has served as president, vice president, secretary and treasurer of the Auxiliary during the past 10 years.
Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital Auxiliary celebrated its most successful month at the hospital giftshop in August 2007. Gross sales for the month exceeded $39,000. Seasonal items are available. The Auxiliary recently donated $78,000 to the hospital. Upcoming fundraising events include a book fair on November 1, a handbag sale on November 15 and 16 and a jewelry sale on December 7. All three events will be in the hospital main lobby from 7 am to 4 pm.
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center Auxiliary welcomes Katie Suiter, Pineapple Gift Shop manager. The Auxiliary held an autumn membership coffee in September with featured guest speaker Paul Savas, MD, spine specialist. The Auxiliary’s second annual Festival of Lights Gala is November 7, from 5 to 7 pm in the hospital’s lobby.
