Sentara Welcomes Dorothy A. Lyons, M.D.

Virginia Beach, Va. – Dec. 10, 2007 – Dorothy A. Lyons, M.D. is the newest member of the Sentara Medical Group Division of Neurology at Sentara Bayside Hospital at 816 Independence Boulevard, Ste. 2H, Virginia Beach, Va., 23455.
Dr. Lyons earned her medical degree from the Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa., with honors in neurobiology after receiving her B.A. from Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Va. She completed her internship and residency at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Lyons had additional training at the Veterans Administration in Cleveland, Ohio. She also earned a special fellowship at the Institute of Neurology at Queens Square in London, England.
Dr. Lyons’ medical experience includes more than 20 years in neurology. She is board certified by the American Board of Neurology. Dr. Lyons is a member of numerous medical associations including the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Neurology. She is also a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Lyons has a special interest in Attention Deficit Disorder in adults. She has given multiple presentations to physicians and the public on various neurologic topics.
