Virginia Beach, Va. –Dec 10, 2007 –Arvind Mahatme, M.D., M.S.H.A., is the newest member of Williamsburg Surgery, a Sentara Medical Group practice, located at 500 Sentara Circle, Ste. 202, Williamsburg, Va.
Dr. Mahatme earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Fla., in 1999 where he was an honors research student. He received his BS in chemistry, summa cum laude, at the University of Florida in 1994 and a Master of Science degree in Health Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
Dr. Mahatme completed his general surgical residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, in 2004 and earned a surgical oncology fellowship at VCU in 2007.
Among the many organizations of which Dr. Mahatme is a member, are the Society for Surgical Oncology, the American Society for Clinical Oncology and the American College of Surgeons. He is a fellow member of the American Medical Association.
