Sentara Welcomes Leanelle Goldstein, M.D., F.R.C.S.C., F.A.C.S.

Virginia Beach, Va. – Dec. 10, 2007 – Leanelle Goldstein, M.D., F.R.C.S.C., F.A.C.S., is one of the newest members of the Southside Surgical Group, a Sentara Medical Group practice, located at 1080 First Colonial Rd., Ste. 200, Virginia Beach, Va.
Dr. Goldstein earned her medical degree from the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in 1993 after receiving her bachelor of science at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Calgary in 2000, then a trauma and critical care fellowship at UCSD, San Diego in 2001.
As a general and trauma surgeon, Dr. Goldstein worked in Vancouver, British Columbia, and San Jose, Calif., before moving to Virginia Beach. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general surgery and trauma critical care. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Goldstein and her husband, Dr. D. Dension Jenkins, have one son.
