Scholarship Available for Therapy Students

Program Helps Students in Rehab Fields

Are you attending a therapy program and wondering how to pay for school?
Sentara Healthcare may have the answer for you!
Sentara has scholarship funds available to help students in various therapy programs.
Sentara's Rehab Scholarship Program is for current students who have met all of the following:
1. Have all prerequisites completed.
2. Have been accepted into an accredited therapy program.
3. Have at least two semesters (or four quarters) completed in one of the following programs:
 Physical Therapy (PT)
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
Loan amounts range from up to $15,000 for PTA/OTA and up to $17,500 for PT/OT/SLP (depending on the work commitment you select with Sentara Healthcare after graduation).
Important Note: Only qualified applicants who submit ALL required documents will be considered.

Although there is no deadline for the application, we are only able to award a limited number of scholarships. Because of this, applications will be reviewed and considered as we receive them.
In addition to completing the online form, please mail or deliver the following information to the address below:
Resume - Your resume detailing prior work and educational history (if not already attached to the application.)
References - Minimum of two required. Original letters of reference/recommendation from clinical instructor(s) or current or past employer(s).
Transcript - Most recent official college transcript from the program that you are currently attending.
Resume, references and college transcripts must be provided within seven days of electronic application submission by mailing or delivering to:
