Michael joined Sentara in 2004 as Chaplain Resident in the Clinical Pastoral Education program in the Chaplain Department at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. In the Spring of 2005 Michael accepted a full time, staff position in the department which took effect December 1st. Michael is responsible for the Adult and Senior Mental Health units, as well as the Medicine units, General Intensive Care I and II, the Progressive Ventilator Step Down Unit, and Rehabilitation units.
Michael is endorsed for chaplaincy by the Presbyterian Counsel for Chaplains and Military Personnel for the Presbyterian Church of the USA.
Michael holds his Master of Divinity from Denver Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado. He completed his Clinical Pastoral Education residency at SNGH Hospitals in the fall of 2005.
Michael enjoys being active in his local church where he teaches Adult Sunday School classes and leads the College and Young Adults Ministry.
