Sentara Chaplains
Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital - Continuing Care Department
Chaplain coverage is available for patients, families, physicians and staff at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, Monday - Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. A part-time Chaplain is available Friday and Saturday. Several local clergy are available for emergency coverage as needed in the evening and on weekends. There is no formal overnight or weekend coverage at this time.
The Chapel is located on the first floor, near the Information Desk and the Cyber Cafe. In the Chapel you will find a prayer bowl where you may write and place your prayers and petitions.
The Chaplains' Office is located on the first floor near Administration, across from the Board Room.
Visiting Clergy are asked to wear their identification badges while visiting their members at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. They are also requested to fill out the Pastoral Care Services progress note for each patient they visit. The appropriate Nurse or Unit Secretary will place this page in the patient's chart.
