When it comes to cardiac care, results mean everything. At the Sentara Heart Center at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, our success rates surpass national standards. For heart surgery, our mortality rates are far better than national standards reported by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. For interventional procedures such as angioplasty and stents, our cardiologists have a 97% success rate compared with a national standard of 90% from the American College of Cardiology.

 A dedicated floor including 36 new private patient rooms, each with it’s own shower, overnight accommodations and Internet access.
