We are taking bold strides to advance healthcare with the opening of Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in August of 2006. This model of medical innovation features the latest healthcare technologies, serving the region with the life-saving capabilities of an ultra-modern medical center.
Across every department, patients can expect to benefit from landmark advancements in medical technology. Advanced imaging capabilities, including the 32-slice CT scanner for fast, accurate diagnostics, are supported by the interpretation skills of sub-specialized radiologists. The technologists are registered in different modalities, which include Diagnostic Radiology, MRI, CT, Mammography, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine. Future plans include the purchase of a spiral CT and dual head Nuclear Medicine camera.
