Dedicated Clinical Staff
Our dedicated clinical staff is experienced in the aspects of clinical trial recruitment and regulatory compliance. The staff observes the highest levels of patient confidentiality while achieving the utmost integrity in clinical trial administration and results reporting.
The executive medical director of Sentara Medical Group serves as clinical research medical director. Based on expertise and interest, specialists are identified to serve as the principal investigator for specific areas of research.
The director of clinical research is a registered nurse with 15 years of research experience. She is a certified clinical research coordinator and has worked for a major pharmaceutical company as a clinical research associate. The director facilitates the coordination of studies, as well as the management of the team of clinical research clinicians/coordinators. The coordinators are licensed nurses who are specially trained in all aspects of research protocols, recruiting, patient education and data management.
