Lymphoma is a cancer of a part of the immune system, also called the lymphatic system. Lymphoma may develop in many parts of the body, including the lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, blood or other organs.
The Hematology/Oncology program at Sentara Cancer Network offers a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis of lymphoma as well as leukemia and other blood disorders. The team meets biweekly at cancer conferences to collaborate among medical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists and other members of the team.
