This symposium is about promoting awareness about advances in structural heart disease. Focusing on developing and expanding trans catheter therapies for the treatment of both valvular and congenital heart disorders.
This broad area of cardiovascular care is becoming an increasingly important area in the field of cardiac intervention. This multi-dimensional team approach includes experts from Interventional Cardiology, Advanced Cardiac Imaging, Cardiac Surgery, and Electrophysiology as well as a dedicated team of nurses and skilled technologists.
Signature components of the program include trans catheter valve replacement, mitral and aortic valvuloplasty, and percutaneous closure of PFO, ASD, VSD and paravalvular leaks.
Identify the opportunities and challenges that exist in the management of structural heart disease through a multidisciplinary approach.
Assess the need for aortic valve replacement as well as emerging interventional procedure options for the treatment of aortic stenosis.
Describe current diagnosis and treatment of structural heart disease and whom to select for surgery.
Describe the latest innovations in management of pulmonary stenosis.
