Emergency Department
Sentara CarePlex Hospital Emergency Department is focused on providing exceptional service to patients with shorter length of stays. The Emergency Department consists of 43 beds, including 11 Fast-track beds. Emergency physicians are board certified. All emergency nurses have received Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Trauma, and Pediatric certifications.

Walk-in emergency care is also available at Sentara Port Warwick in Newport News, open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. The same skilled physicians practice at both locations.
