Patients experiencing chronic pain and other complications related to circulatory disorders can benefit from a new treatment offered as part of Sentara Home Care Services’ comprehensive rehab program. Anodyne Therapy uses monochromatic infrared photo energy to increase circulation to the area where the device is applied. Because there is no electrical current or deep heat associated with this device, Anodyne may be used safely with metal implants, pins and screws, pacemakers and defibrillators.

Conditions that respond to this treatment include:
Neuropathy (diabetic and non-diabetic)
 Edema (swelling)
 Inflammation
 Lymphedema
 Cellulitis
 Diabetic ulcers
 Venous stasis ulcers
 Scleroderma
