Sentara's ranking as a leading national center for cardiac procedures has reached a new level with the opening of
Sentara Heart Hospital, providing the most specialized cardiac care in the Mid-Atlantic. Located on the first floor of this fully digital hospital is a new Advanced Imaging Center, offering physicians and their patients the superior diagnostic benefits of the first commercially available 64-slice CT in the region, as well as cardiac MRI capabilities.
A collaborative program between Sentara Healthcare, medical staff cardiologists, and radiologist couples the skills of sub-specialized physicians with new unprecedented technology. The result is a new era in imaging for the fastest, most accurate diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, chest pain, stroke and other life-threatening illnesses.
