"The winner of the Outstanding EMS Agency award is well known throughout the region. Providing both scene and interfacility medical care transportation during more than 10,000 accident-free flights, the Nightingale Air Ambulance strives for excellence and safety. When time is critical to the patient’s survival, Nightingale’s speed and the crew’s skills are requested. The crew provides continuing education and LZ safety classes and consistently provides patient feedback to the ground agencies. In addition, Nightingale is a major sponsor of the Tidewater EMS Council’s Response newsletter and this annual picnic. Congratulations to Nightingale and its crew on receiving the 2005 Outstanding EMS agency award.”
