About our Team
The Sentara Physicians and staff combine their years of expertise with the state-of-the-art technology to provide your employees with the care they need at an affordable cost.

Along with the medical staff, our team also includes a Program Manager who oversees the program and monitors the trends in the marketplace.

An Account Representative is available to meet with you to help you design an account that meets your needs. Your account representative will also be there as your business changes and grows.

A dedicated Client Service Representative is always available to help you with day to day questions and is also responsible for reporting all substance abuse results.

Our integrated computer network allows our staff to access your account at all of our participating locations. Having an account with us ensures accurate billing information and a customized account that meets your needs.

Workers Compensation
Sentara recognizes the importance of your concern for your employee’s health and safety. When illness or injuries occur on the job, Sentara Medical Group offers you immediate attention, quality care, closely controlled costs, and the return of your employee to the job as quickly as possible.

To aid in the accurate and efficient handling of the worker’s compensation process, Sentara will provide your employee with return to work forms as well as mail you a complete medical report.

Occupational Health Program
Some of the components of Sentara’s Occupational Medicine Program are:

Substance abuse assessments, urine or hair drug testing, alcohol screening (breath and blood)
Immunizations
Respiratory physicals and assessments including pulmonary function
Physicals (basic, DOT, OSHA, and focused comprehensive examinations.)
Audiograms
Titmus Vision Testing and vision screening
Post-exposure management including HAZMAT examinations.

Substance Abuse Testing
Sentara Medical Group performs drug-testing services for companies throughout Hampton Roads. Our staff also serves as a technical resource to assist businesses in the planning development, and implementation of your Substance Abuse Program. Breath Alcohol testing is also available.

Our Medical Review Officer (MRO) is an essential component of the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Our MRO evaluates all DOT/NIDA tests to ensure the validity of results. If there is any question, the MRO will investigate further and issue a final report of results.

All of our collectors are certified to perform DOT and non-DOT testing.
