Now it’s available right in your community. Sentara offers a unique and affordable program that allows older adults to continue living in the place they love, while benefiting from support and activities. It’s called Sentara Adult Day Services.
With healthcare available if needed, Sentara Adult Day Services provides a safe place to relax, socialize and have fun.
In addition to Sentara Adult Day accepting fee for service payments, ($60 for full day or $45 half day), Sentara Adult Day is now accepting Medicaid as a payment option for Adult Day Services. Individuals with current Medicaid cards/numbers can enroll immediately by calling 757-SENIORS (736-4677). A physical, TB test and health assessment by Sentara Staff Community Nurse is all that is required before enrollment. Those individuals that haven't qualified for Medicaid yet, can call our resource line at 757-SENIORS (736-4677) and they will help direct you to the Medicaid application process within your city. The Medicaid approval process can take anywhere between 45-90 days. Once Medicaid approved, Sentara Adult Day will bill Medicaid directly for Adult Day Services.
