Among Sentara’s senior services, the Sentara Living program offers numerous benefits, including health screenings, educational seminars, fitness opportunities and social events. Seniors living at home can sign up for Mobile Meals. This service offers five different sites for meal delivery for the home-bound elderly.
Seniors living on the peninsula can receive assistance from Sentara Behavioral Health Services, which can help them cope with depression, anxiety, isolation and other issues that arise with aging.
For caregivers wrestling with tough decision on how to care for aging loved ones, a senior service survey can lend a hand in determining care options at Sentara, which range from adult day care to one of seven Sentara nursing homes.
Sentara Senior Services also offers its signature PACE day program designed for patients who qualify for Medicare and Medicaid nursing home care but still want to live with family. PACE is a program of the Commonwealth of Virginia (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly).

At Sentara Villages - our assisted living facility - seniors enjoy comfortable, private accommodations combined with social activities in a home-like setting. Sentara nursing centers are available for those who need a higher level of care.
