Patient diagnosis and treatment can begin at any of our hospitals. We promise to work hard to ensure
ease of scheduling and access to our facilities.
Some patients may be referred from other facilities to the Sentara Thoracic Surgery Center at Sentara Heart Hospital for more complex procedures, where minimally invasive techniques may be used and could include the use of the da Vinci robot.
What happens when I am diagnosed?
Sentara's Thoracic Program provides first-time appointments, second-opinion consults, ongoing treatment and follow-up visits. When you receive a diagnosis of a lung or chest condition, you can access a variety of Sentara hospitals via our network of physicians and supporting facilities, including imaging, rehabilitation and diagnostic care.
