Drink plenty of fluids.
Do not overdo it. Avoid repeated climbing of steps.
Call office for catheter removal appointment day of discharge. Catheter will be removed in 7-10 days.
Follow discharge instructions for prescribed medications. Take stool softener as prescribed.
Recovery time is 4-6 weeks. No lifting over 20 pounds for 8 weeks postoperatively.
