Sentara expands therapy and rehabilitation access in Northern Virginia
Sentara has opened two new Sentara Therapy Centers in Manassas, Va. and Burke, Va., expanding access to high-quality rehabilitation and physical therapy services for residents throughout Prince William County and surrounding Northern Virginia communities.
The new locations provide personalized rehabilitation care designed to help patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, improve mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy most.
"These new therapy centers bring expert rehabilitation services closer to where people live and work," said Jeff Joyner, Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center President and Senior Vice President of Sentara’s Northwestern Market.
"Whether someone is recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, rehabilitating after an injury, or working to improve balance and mobility, our experienced therapy team is focused on helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life."
The centers are now accepting new patients
The centers offer specialized physical therapy services for patients experiencing:
- orthopedic injuries
- sports-related conditions
- neurological disorders
- spine and back conditions
- postsurgical recovery needs
- chronic pain
“As a therapist, one of the things I’ve heard for years from our patients and their families is, ‘I wish Sentara had a therapy center closer to where I live.’ By opening new locations in Manassas and Burke, we're making it easier for residents to receive high-quality therapy care in their own communities, where and when they need it most,” said Punith Shivapura, PT, DPT, CDN, FIMT, supervisor of rehabilitation, Sentara Therapy Centers.
Sentara's therapists work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and recovery goals. The organization's rehabilitation programs serve patients of all ages and are designed to support long-term health, mobility, and independence.
“We’re excited to welcome individuals of all ages, from athletes looking to return to sport to those recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, neurological conditions, dizziness and balance disorders, or everyday aches and injuries. We look forward to becoming a trusted partner in helping our neighbors move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what they love,” Shivapura said.
Patients may begin physical therapy treatment without a physician referral through Virginia's direct access provisions, and walk-in visits are welcome.
