Provides leadership to the diabetes team which currently includes operations coordinator and two registered dietitian certified diabetes educators. Manages operations for both outpatient and inpatient programs and expanding services. Currently serves on Tier 1 glycemic steering committee (system), glycemic collaborative (Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital), DRA chair at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital and inpatient lead system diabetes educators. Additionally, provides direct education for inpatient and outpatient programs. Education is also provided for staff members. Participating member of COIN Nursing Practice Council, nursing transformation at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.
