Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, with a medical staff of 450 physicians, provides comprehensive medical and surgical services through a Cancer Care Center, Digestive Care Center, Cardiology Care Center, Orthopedics including Spine Surgery & Joint Replacement Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Medicine & Surgery, and a Women's Health Center. The mission of Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital Department of Pharmacy Services is to improve the health and well-being of our community through safe and effective medication use. Clinical services provided by the department include attending patient care rounds, renal function monitoring, drug interaction monitoring, pharmacokinetic monitoring, parenteral nutrition monitoring, and a focus on a decentralized but integrated model of care delivery.
