Tidewater Burn and Trauma Survivors
The Tidewater Burn Survivors Support Group was established in October 2012 with the assistance of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital to bring together like minded burn survivors who wish to give of themselves to help other burn survivors and their families. In Spring of 2017, we welcomed trauma survivors to the group as well.
We are the first and only support group for burn and trauma survivors in the Hampton Roads region. We dedicated this support group to the brave patients who have suffered a burn or trauma injury. Our purpose is to provide a forum to share stories, celebrate clinical progress and provide emotional support, making their recovery a personal success.
Our primary focus is to meet the unique needs of the burn and trauma survivors in the Hampton Roads area, and to provide a positive environment for new victims and their families to have hope and understanding.
How to Join:
The Tidewater Burn and Trauma Survivors group is free to any survivors, and is comprised of burn and trauma survivors, families, Sentara volunteers, and clinical staff. Please join us in person at our monthly meetings or virtually, through our Facebook group.
