Albemarle Health, Sentara Healthcare to partner March 1

The Pasquotank County Board of Commissioners and the Albemarle Hospital Authority Board of Commissioners voted “yes” to approve the Sentara Healthcare and Albemarle Health long-term lease agreement. The Sentara Healthcare and Albemarle Health partnership will take effect March 1, 2014.

The Pasquotank County Board of Commissioners and the Albemarle Hospital Authority Board of Commissioners voted “yes” today to approve the long-term lease agreement between Sentara and Albemarle Health. As a result, the Sentara Healthcare-Albemarle Health partnership will take effect Saturday, March 1, 2014.

Sentara Healthcare and Albemarle Health welcome this opportunity to partner and look forward to a strong and committed relationship with the communities of northeastern North Carolina.

Albemarle Health will begin integration into the Sentara family and the Sentara Hampton Roads operation March 1 and forging a path together based on the terms of the agreement, which were determined based on the current and future needs of the community.
