Three new providers join the Peninsula
One physician assistant and two nurse practitioners join Sentara Healthcare to provide family and internal medicine services in Williamsburg and Hampton
Amy Harrelson, physician assistant (PA-C), Yasmin Nuru, family nurse practitioner (FNP), and Christina Cournoyer, nurse practitioner (NP) join Sentara Medical Group on the Peninsula to provide comprehensive family and internal medicine care for the local communities.
Amy Harrelson, PA-C, Internal Medicine
Joining Sentara Internal Medicine Physicians, Amy Harrelson is dedicated to providing her adult patients with individualized care plans and working collaboratively to empower them to achieve their health goals. From treating minor illnesses and injuries to annual physicals and chronic disease management, Ms. Harrelson is well-equipped and ready to partner with her patients. Ms. Harrelson is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Yasmin Nuru, FNP, Family Medicine
Sentara Family & Internal Medicine Physicians is pleased to welcome Yasmin Nuru, a family nurse practitioner who specializes in the prevention and treatment of medical conditions such as arthritis, diabetes and high blood pressure. She partners with her patients to achieve their optimal well-being. From routine check-ups to chronic disease management, Ms. Nuru is committed to providing her patients with individualized care plans. Christina Cournoyer, NP, Family Medicine
Christina Cournoyer joins Sentara Family Medicine Physicians as a certified adult and gerontology primary care nurse practitioner. Christina enjoys providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Her clinical interests include health promotion, disease prevention, women’s health and geriatrics. Ms. Cournoyer’s clinical background consists of long-term care, critical medical-surgical care and telemetry nursing. Born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia, Ms. Cournoyer is strongly rooted in the community. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is accepting new patients at her offices located at 200 Eaton Street, Hampton, VA 23669.
