Program Overview

The half-day conference will update primary care providers on the unique issues in women’s health. This program will provide a practical update on a full range of common concerns such as diagnosis, management and treatment of acute, chronic, and routine medical concerns in women. Topics will include perimenopause, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor disorders, fibroids, rectal incontinence, pelvic pain, as well as other conditions that involve the geriatric female patient. The course format will include evidence-based and case-based presentations, and Q & A panel discussions with faculty.

Primary Care Physicians, Advanced Practice Clinicians to include NPs, and PAs, Nurses and Managers.

Credit Designation
Sentara Healthcare designates this live activity for a maximum of four (4.00) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Virginia Board of Medicine
Physicians may claim up to four (4.00) in Type 1 or Type 2 CME on the Virginia Board of Medicine Continued Competency and Assessment Form required for the renewal of an active medical license.

American Board of Internal Medicine
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 4.00 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME Credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Physician Assistants
NCCPA accepts for Category 1 CME credit activities designated for Category 1 credit by the AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

Nurse Practitioners
ANCC accepts continuing medical education (CME) approved for CME hours.
