SaeboFlex Orthosis Training for Stroke Rehabilitation
Sometimes patients who have suffered a stroke are left with a weakened hand and wrist that impairs their daily function. The SaeboFlex Orthosis is a treatment option that may be considered for the patient. It uses state-of-the-art mechanical technology to support the hand and wrist so that patients can functionally use their hand in therapy and at home. The user is able to grasp an object by flexing his or her fingers and the extension spring system assists in reopening the hand.
Sentara Therapy Center has dedicated locations in which specially trained occupational therapists, certified by Saebo Inc., measure and train patients in its use.
