Bridgewater Health Center: Coming soon
Sentara RMH Medical Center is pleased to announce that it will be expanding even further into the community with the opening of Bridgewater Health Center in 2017.
The facility will house Sentara Laboratory Services and Sentara Therapy Services, which will both move from their current location in Bridgewater to the new facility. In addition, Sentara Imaging Services will also be available, providing expanded healthcare offerings in one centralized location.
“We are excited to be able to provide this new facility and expanded services to the Bridgewater community,” said Edward Sandy, M.D., president of Sentara RMH Medical Group. “We hope the new health center makes health care more convenient and allows people access to the services they need without having to leave the community.”
The 10,800-square-foot facility will be located on 8.2 acres at the corner of Dinkle Avenue and Don Litten Parkway in Bridgewater.
Sentara RMH Medical Center will also welcome a Carilion Clinic family practice to the new location. Carilion will be moving its family practice clinic currently located at 200 High Street into the facility as well.
“We have worked closely with Carilion Clinic in Bridgewater for many years, so this structure will allow us to continue to work together to care for the community,” noted Dr. Sandy. “We know that having greater access to health care is a priority for the town and we are excited to be able to see this project come to fruition.”
Construction is set to begin Dec. 5 and the center will likely open in the fall 2017. There will be an official groundbreaking ceremony on Dec. 1 at 11 a.m.
